Prof. Dr. V.S. Shrivastava was born at Dharamgarh Dist. Morena, M. P. on 14th June 1962 in a middle class educated family. He was working as the Principal, Professor & Head P. G. Department of Chemistry at G. T. Patil Arts, Commerce & Science College, Nandurbar. He has completed M. Sc. degree in Organic Chemistry with 1st class from Jiwaji University, Gwalior in 1981, M. Phil. from Agra University, Agra in 1983 & Ph. D. from Rajasthan University, Jaipur in 1988 under the guidance of Late Prof. R. C. Malhotra, Ex-Chairman U.G.C Pay Commission. He has also completed post Doctorate in South America in 2004 and D. Lit. (Hon.) in 2018 from University of South America (U.S.A.). After completing his Ph. D. & research associateship from Rajasthan University, Jaipur he has joined as an Asst. Professor in Chemistry in G. T. Patil College, Nandurbar in Sept. 1989. After joining, he started research & completed several major & minor research projects from U.G.C., C.S.I.R, D.A.E., BRNS, M. P. C. B etc. He represented India in the International conference on Energy & Environment at Tsinghua University, Beijing, China in 1993.

In 2002 he has been awarded TWAS-UNESCO visiting Associateship for 3 years in IVIC, Caracas, Venezuela. Again he has got TWAS UNESCO Award from 2006 to 2009 in Dept. of Material Science, University of Argentina, Argentina.

On the 5th July 2011 he was joined as Professor Grade Principal in G. T. Patil Arts, Comm. & Science College, Nandurbar & bears the office to 30/06/2022.

He has been supervised 32 Ph. D. & 10 M. Phil. Students in Kavayitri Bahinabai Chaudhari North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon. He has published more than 250 research papers in the various reputed national & international journals. He has also visited to many research institutions in abroad viz., China, Hong Kong, Bangkok, Germany, Singapore, Venezuela and Russia.

He has received “Best Teacher Award” from KBCNMU, Jalgaon in 2005. As well as “Best Teacher Award” from N.T.V.S. Nandurbar in 2009. He has also received “Dr. Arvind Kumar Memorial National Award” by ICC in 2008 and “Best Principal Award” from KBCNMU, Jalgaon in 2016. He has been shortlisted for the post of Vice Chancellor in various Universities. Due to his consistent efforts and vision G. T. Patil College was accredited by NAAC with “A” grade in second cycle. Also he has been awarded Dr. S. M. L. Gupta National Award by I. C. C. at Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Agara University, Agara in December 2022.

He joined M. G. Tele Commerce College, Chindha and Baraku Ramaji Tele Science College, and Kesharbai Tele College of Management Thalner, Tal- Shirpur, Dist- Dhule, Thlaner- 425421 (M.S) on 01/07/2022 as Director (Academic/ Research/ Advise) and working since then.
